Members collaborate on identifying outreach opportunities, connecting with businesses through visits, calls, emails, or messages, and tracking progress to support long-term partnerships. COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD

The Community Advisory Board is made up of community members who are not otherwise connected to KBOO and provides independent community perspective on the station’s service and impact. This board is required for CPB funding and meets at least once per year to offer feedback and insight. Serving on the Community Advisory Board is a meaningful way to represent community voices, support public media accountability, and help ensure KBOO remains responsive to the needs of the community it serves.

DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Support KBOO’s long-term sustainability by helping shape strategies for fundraising, marketing, and public relations. EVENTS WORKGROUP

Bring people together to plan and produce KBOO’s events throughout the year. Members meet 1–2 times a month to collaborate on event strategy and help bring station events to life, from planning through execution. Joining the Events Workgroup is a fun, hands-on way to build event-planning skills, collaborate with fellow community members, and help create welcoming spaces that connect people to KBOO.

Executive Committee is made up of the Board President, Treasurer, and one additional board member appointed by the Board of Directors. This committee is empowered to act on behalf of the full board when timely decisions are needed between regular board meetings.
