Bill Resnick interviews Carrie Cantrell, the coordinator of the Northwest Intersex Action League based here in Portland. They discuss Intersex, people born with multiple different variations of male and female uro-genital structures. They discuss her experience from birth as an Intersex person, and how after being deceived for many years and undergoing a lot of pain, she discovered the truth about herself and found commitment and peace in social activism. In the second part next Monday, they will address how Intersex action and work by other sexual minorities, contribute to changing popular ideas about sexuality and and sexual morality by building knowledge and understanding.
