Marty Robbins was a country music renaissance man. He was a successful recording artist, stage performer, actor, songwriter, and stock car racer. His versatile baritone enabled him to handle many musical styles, making him one of the most successful crossover artists during the 50’s and 60’s. Rolling Stone magazine had this to say about Marty “Robbins has a beautiful voice. There simply aren’t any rock singers capable of such precise melodic as Marty Robbins.”
