I’ve assigned the title of this Pastures of Plenty episode to Blossom Dearie, a clear-voiced jazzy singer popular in the 1950s. She came though with "I Hear Music" recorded in 1957. You can hear that two-minute tribute to "mighty pretty music" at about 6:30am. Soon after that is Tracy Grammer’s "The Waking Hour", sort of a secondary theme for the whole program. Since I record the show at home days ahead of time, I don’t have to worry about getting up on time. I’ve designed the program to help you wake up - no matter the time, as long as it’s between 5:30 and 7:00 Wednesday morning.
We’ll start the show with Kristen Grainger and True North and end with Viv and Riley (Vivian Leva & Riley Calcagno). There are couple songs from Laurie Lewis, another from Buffalo Rose, a tune from Scotsman Paddy Noonan, and many more from a variety of topics. Please join me for a Wednesday Morning Wake-Up on The Boo! Thanks! Will
