THE STUDENT CLIMATE STRIKE IN PORTLAND and WHAT IS DEMOCRACY?
Denise Morris Hosts this Episode of the Old Mole which includes
- Bill Resnick talks with Portland students who helped organize last Friday’s (March 15) Student Climate Strike. In Part One, we hear from Solomon Duke, senior at Franklin High. He is a founder of the Portland Youth Climate Council and one of the organizers of the Student Climate Strike. In Part Two, Sriya Chinnam and Nora Glyn, both of the Lincoln High School Environmental Justice Club, discuss their work of organizing students for the Strike. All three students explain why they see climate action as so important and how they did the organizing.
- Movie Moles Jan Haaken and Frann Michel Review the Film "What Is Democracy," playing at the Portland International Film Festival March 20 and 21.
