As this edition of Free Culture Radio was being recorded, the US Senate Judiciary Committee was considering the nomination of William Barr to be the next US Attorney General. He’s a horrible nominee, for the sake of this country he should be rejected, and on this edition of Free Culture Radio we’re going to hear why.
In December 2018, a group of 75 civil rights, religious, and progressive organizations sent a letter to the US Senate expressing serious concerns about Barr’s nomination. On January Tenth, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights held a news conference with representatives from some of those organizations to discuss Barr’s record and to call on the Senate to reject his nomination. I was fortunate enough to be on that call. On this edition of Free Culture Radio, we hear some of that audio.
