Views, Reviews, and Interviews from a Socialist-Feminist, Anti-racist, Anti-colonial and LGBTQ-positive Perspective

Patricia Kullberg hosts this episode of the Old Mole, which is a re-broadcast from Against the Grain.

Black parents worry about racism’s impact on their children. Jennifer C. Nash is interested in both the nature of racialized anxiety and the way it’s rendered visible to the general public. Among other things, she looks at how Black mothers have used the epistolary form to convey their concerns, fears, and hopes. C. S. Soong speaks with Jennifer Nash about her research. She is the author of How We Write Now: Living with Black Feminist Theory Duke University Press, 2024.

Against the Grain is a weekly radio show hosted and produced by Sasha Lilley and C.S Soong on KPFA Pacifica Radio in Berkley, California. It’s a program of ideas, in-depth analysis, and commentary on political, economic, social, and cultural issues important to radical thinking and activism.
