The Prison Journalism Project is an independent, national nonprofit organization that trains incarcerated people to be writers and journalists, and publishes their stories so they can serve as influential voices in the broader conversation about prison and the criminal legal system in their local communities and across the nation.
To learn more about their work and particularly PJP's Locked Out project on voting, politics, and democracy behind bars, Prison Pipeline Collective member Doug McVay spoke with Mason Bryan, Senior Editor at the Prison Journalism Project.
