In the first part of the show, we have an interview with Joseph Tawadros. He is a leading Oud virtuoso, composer and 8 time ARIA-award winner. Born in Cairo, his chosen instrument, the Oud is an Arabic lute, the ancestor of the lute and modern guitar.
On October 19-20, Joseph held a 24-hour 'prayer for humanity' in which he played the oud non-stop for 25 hours (he didn't even stop when the 24 hours were up!) to support the people of Gaza.
Listen to the full 25 hours here (split into six parts) on his Facebook page.
The second half of the show is a recording of a vigil for Gaza held recently at the University of Portland.
