On this episode of The Gap, Tammy and Althea have a hearty discussion about the local happenings around town. First, the Willamette Week coverage of the 'Lake Oswego Catalytic Converter Ring' that made up 28% of all catalytic converter theft in Portland! It's a wild story, highly recommend a read... anything can happen in a lake front house in Lake Oswego!
Then, we devote some time to the $27 million dollar budget passed to fund the mass homeless encampments Wheeler and Ryan have planned for, and the camping ban. They're threatening to take millions from the Joint Office of Homeless Services, which means an immediate reductions in shelters that exist and are working. It boggles the mind.
We conclude with some good news, the Senate passage of the Respect for Marriage Act and the victory of Don't Shoot PDX in their federal lawsuit. Hurray!
Sorry we didn't have the phones working today folks, we appreciate you, and look forward to chatting next week!
