Newest COVID surge spikes risk in Oregon prisons

Ray Fox was released from Oregon’s prison system after serving 30 years.  Reports from friends still serving time differ from the Oregon Department of Corrections' (ODOC) claim that it is following CDC guidelines concerning COVID-19.  Adults in custody (AIC) report that social distancing is not taking place and correctional officers who do not wear masks cite ‘officer discretion.’   

ODOC currently reports 16 deaths of AIC due to COVID-19. KBOO's Karen James spoke with Ray Fox to learn more.
