The Oregon state Senate recently passed a bill requiring burial facilities and death care consultants to be licensed by the state mortuary and cemetery board.
While this may appear at first to be an uncontroversial regulatory measure, local ‘green burial’ groups say the new bill is meant to put them out of business. KBOO’s Melati Kaye has more.
