Jan Haaken talks with organizers from the campaign for Measure 101. When the Oregon Legislature voted last year to to pay for its portion of the Affordable Care Act's Medicaid expansion, it passed with a super-majority, and was going to be funded through the widely common practice of taxing corporate healthcare providers. Opponents of the bill - NOT THOSE BEING TAXED - forced the legislature's decision to a referendum as Measure 101. Jan and her guests, Jodie Folkdale and Jessican Turin, consider the anti-tax and anti-welfare ideology behind the opposition, but also the universality of people's desire to care for others and how that shows up in canvassing for Measure 101.
