It's all treats and no tricks on tonight's Halloween Eve special edition of The Holy Crowley Hour, or Two. Our guest is comedic genius Philip Proctor of the Firesign Theatre, calling in from his home in Southern California.
The Firesign Theatre was a big influence on many of us at KBOO Community Radio. And Carl Crowley is no exception. The Firesigns are Carl's all-time favorite comedy group (Pink Lady and Jeff are a distant second).
Phil will be talking with us about his new book -- Where's My Fortune Cookie? -- in which he tells the story of his incredible life in theater, film, and, of course, comedy. This is a great thrill for all of us at the show, so we'll let Phil go as long as he wants. And if there's time, before Joe Woods sends us off to far-away places, we'll play a recording of the very last Firesign Theatre radio performance. Which just happened to take place at KBOO back in December 2011, according to our resident historian Dr. Memory.
Hope you tune in at 10 to KBOO, the community radio station designed with your mind in mind.
