Negro Comrades of the Crown by Dr. Gerald Horne

Today, we broadcast our one-hour special with Dr. Gerald Horne, "Sojourner Truth" roundtable regular and professor of history and African American Studies at the University of Houston. Dr. Horne and Margaret Prescod discuss his book, "Negro Comrades of the Crown: African Americans and the British Empire Fight the U.S. Before Emancipation," which excavates the alliance between the British and African Americans against the slave system of the United States, from the American Revolution to the U.S. Civil War.
