This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of PLEASE KILL ME: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk. .
PLEASE KILL ME is a genuine cult book, published in 12 languages and in print for 20 years. It has become a contemporary American classic and spawned a generation of music oral history books, often imitated but never equaled.
Erin Yanke spend a half hour talking with co-author Gillain McCain about creating Please Kill Me, and other parts of her life, including the other book she coedited with Legs McNeil: Dear Nobody: The True Diary of Mary Rose. Thanks for listening.
