Host Ken Jones talks with Lauren Weedman, author of the new book of essays Miss Fortune: Fresh Perspectives on Having It All, From Someone Who Is Not Okay.
Lauren’s an award winning comedic actress, playwright, and author. She’s written and performed nine solo plays, including “The People’s Republic of Portland” for Portland Center Stage. Her television credits include The Daily Show, True Blood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Arrested Development. Also, HBO’s Hung and Looking (those are two separate shows by the way).
Portland’s own Cheryl Strayed said of Miss Fortune: “I laughed. I cried. I thanked my lucky stars I didn’t ever have a threesome with coworkers in the Netherlands.”
