End Of Summer Fun

Frotunato is setting up a party with novelty drinks, cheesy snacks , and some crazy fun to celebrate the End Of Summer. Tune in for a line up of Halloween and Monster Movie themed songs, and  two scary stories will be featured today. KBOO's own Emily Young will read an early story by Ray Bradbury, Night. It's a warm summer night, but an eight year old and his mother feel a chill of fear as they begin to believe that something has happaned to his older brother, who is late coming home from playing with his friends well after dark. Also, one of our favorite presentations, Katherine Dunn reads The Cat Man by Byron Leggett.Set in the South Pacific a retired writer has bought an island to live on with his pet cats. Did he bring too many females? After a few years, he seems to be spending most of his time feeding the increasing number of cats that now share this isolated island.
