This week on "That Vegan Show," get an inside look at the marvel that is The Flip Side Vegan Market PDX! The show starts with interviews with the founders, io and Jess, who share how their vegan businesses started (Hail Snail & Our Vegan Cocina, respectively). They continue by retelling how synchronicity brought them together to create Flip Side, a queer and POC organized event, over three years ago. Jess and io share about the growth of the market over the years and their vision of the event, which includes community building and supporting animal sanctuaries.
To give you an idea of what it's like to attend the event, I conducted on-site mini-interviews with four of the participants (listed below) during the April Earth Day/ 420 event. I had a great time and loved talking to all of my fellow vegans! I also left with a full belly and an armful of vegan goodies.
The Flip Side Vegan Market runs from April through October.
