A humourous rememberance by New Yorker writer and cartoonist James Thurber of his growing up in Columbus, Ohio at the start of the 20th Century. One night, young James can't fall asleep as he is fixated on recalling the name of a certain town in New Jersey that has two words in its name. It isn't Atlantic City or Jersey City. Frustrated, he goes to wake up his father, who is sleeping that night in a nearby room, to see if he can recall the ellusive name. But, his father just woken up from a deep sleep and being asked the names of cities in New Jersey, doesn't recognizes his son but instead believes it is someone from his past who has come to "get him." Needless to say, chaos ensues.
