Helen Keller: politically incorrect rebel girl

Helen Keller is a beloved bleeding-heart symbol of personal perseverance, an "unmitigated American folk-hero" even, but what we hardly hear in school is that she persevered against capitalism and in solidarity with the radical left movements of her time.
