This week on Century of Lies: Public Health Approaches to Perinatal Substance Use.

The Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials held a launch event December 19 to announce the release of a special issue of the Maternal and Child Health Journal devoted to public health approaches to perinatal substance use. We hear from Dr. Kimá Joy Taylor, founder of healthcare consulting firm Anka Consulting and a nonresident fellow at the Urban Institute; Laura Sternberger, ‍Director of Pregnant & Postpartum Women's Services and Director of the Massachusetts Moms Do Care Program at the Institute for Health and Recovery; Doctor Sarah Reese, an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Montana; and Jessi Fuchs, an epidemiologist at the New Mexico Department of Health.
