Have you ever wondered about how the concept of karma operates? Subhash Jain is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at The University of Iowa. He was born in India into a family that practiced Jainism, and he continued to do so after coming to the US in 1967. After retiring in 2003, Subhash devoted himself to studying Indian Philosophy, particularly the Jain doctrine of karma. He received his second Ph.D. degree in Jainolgy from the University of Madras. Subhash has published two books and several articles in journals and magazines on the karma doctrine. His newest book, The Path to Inner Peace: Mastering Karma, addresses the concepts of karmic attachment, and how to reduce suffering and find greater peace through our actions.
