In our first segment we’ll listen a 2019 speech deliver by African American veteran Journalist, Glen Ford, in this piece Ford speak about his time working W.R.D.W in Augusta GA, the history of Black Radio News and more- this audio is provided by Sprouts with recordings from the Pacifica Network archives.

For the second half of the hour, we’ll hear from Black Radio Rochester- a radio and podcast documentary series created for African American history month where a group of high school students uncovers the hidden history of Rochester's first African American radio personalities Howard Coles and Alma Kelso. In the process, they join a generations-old fight to preserve Black History.
