KBOO's locally produced program by and about the LGBTQ communities takes a night to celebrate.

Out Loud is holding their anniversary party on Friday night, May 11th, at Crush (1400 SE Morrison St. in Portland).

Out Loud is KBOO's queer culture show, celebrating & serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning & allied communities. They feature local musical talent, interviews with local and national community groups, authors, and really anyone from the queer community. They strive to give voice to those not heard in the main stream media.

Out Loud radio began broadcasting in April 2002. We started as a once a month 30 min radio show and have evolved into a weekly hour-long celebration of queer culture!

This celebration is also a benefit for KBOO Community Radio Station, your source for listener-sponsored non-profit volunteer-powered community-created media, bringing you voices from the edge for over 40 years.

Performing at the party will be:

Aleks Stefanova (Poet & Creator of q-poetry.ning.com)
Belinda Carroll (comic)
Annie Vergenetti (link to Annie's performance on Out Loud)
Joaquin Lopez (link to Joaquin's guest appearance on Out Loud)
Katie Sawicki (link to Katie's performance on Out Loud)

DJ Tronic (KBOO DJ for Fri night's 'Plugged In' show / Dancefloor Mayhem)

Thank you Crush for your support of Out Loud and our community! And thank to you our listeners and our guests for 10 years of support! Until next time, stay proud and live out loud!
