Bitch Media is proud to announce a 15th anniversary celebration of the magazine Bitch: Feminist Response to Pop Culture on July 8, 2011 in Portland, Oregon. The event also marks the opening of Sweet 15: Celebrating 15 Years of Style, Substance, and Smarts from Bitch Magazine, a retrospective exhibition of selected Bitch covers from the last 15 years. Sweet 15 is free and open to the public.
Held at ADX, the event will feature the sale of archival quality, limited-edition prints from the exhibition, a raffle, hors d’oeuvres, and refreshments. Proceeds from the event will benefit Bitch Media, a nonprofit, independent feminist media organization, headquartered in Portland, Oregon. All are encouraged to attend this celebration of 15 years of feminism, pop culture, and community.
The limited-edition cover art prints will also be for sale on bitchmedia.org the day after the event, July 9, through July 24, 2011.
